Freelance Site Manager (m/f/d)

As a subsidiary of HAZEMAG, HAZEMAG Systems GmbH, based in Düsseldorf-Heerdt, is responsible for worldwide sales activities and project management in the HAZEMAG Group. Our international orientation is represented by sales offices in regions such as Brazil, China, Europe and Southeast Asia.

For our location in Düsseldorf, we are looking for an passionate Site-Manager on a freelance basis who has experience in the cement, mining, crushing and screening industries.

• Ensure the technical and timely implementation of contractual services on construction sites worldwide
• Act as the interface between the client, suppliers, and subcontractors on-site
• Coordinate all trades on the construction site with a hands-on mentality
• Provide technical leadership to suppliers and subcontractors on-site (authority to issue directives)
• Early identification, reporting, and management of project deviations on-site
• Create site documentation/reports for project management
• Coordinate commissioning on-site
• Assist in the preparation of performance and customer acceptance tests
• Provide input for lessons learned on-site
• Responsible for HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) topics on-site

• Master craftsman, technician, or engineer in mechanical and plant engineering or a comparable qualification
• At least 5 years of professional experience as a Site Manager in plant engineering for projects > €5 million
• Leadership skills in an international team
• Strong competencies in conflict management
• Assertiveness and skill in communication with all stakeholders
• Excellent organizational skills and proactive, practical working style
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and NavisWorks (and or others)
• Proficiency in common MS Office tools
• Excellent communication skills in English at a fluent level. German, Spanish, French is an advantage
• Willingness to travel internationally
• Knowledge in the areas of civil & steel construction, mechanical erection, crushing and screening, conveyor systems, flotation/filter systems, pumping process systems, electrical/automation systems is an advantage
